Obsession boasts four equal sized but slightly different air-conditioned guest cabins, each with its own head and shower. Each stateroom has stereo, TV/VCR, ample storage and individual climate controls. Two staterooms have queen size beds, one has a queen and two singles and the fourth has twin single beds allowing Obsession to carry up to ten passengers in complete comfort.

There’s always something to do on Obsession from listening to her superb stereo system or relaxing with a good book to selecting from her wide array of watersports equipment.

 

You can enjoy your active time with a ski tube, kneeboard, water skis, kayak, SCUBA gear, fishing equipment, snorkel gear, paddle ball and pool floats.

Let the view through crystal clear waters determine whether to snorkel a colorful reef, dive a wreck or fish for tuna or wahoo while cruising the pristine waters of the Caribbean.

Your Crew:
Captain Arno Hess of Switzerland, traded his engineering career, his interest in a pro sportswear company and his hobby of motorcycle racing to pursue a life on the sea.
After his father purchased the historic classic yacht Hitauk, Arno set about restoring her to a beautiful luxury cruiser. Upon completing her restoration, and after obtaining his 400 ton Captain's License, sailed her across the Atlantic and has been happily providing countless charters aboard Hitauk for many years in the waters of the Caribbean. In July the owners of motor yacht Obsession approached him to run their yacht in charter. They were drawn to him through knowledge of his skills of Captaining many different types of vessels and to his long-term familiarity with the very beautiful waters of the Virgin Islands. Arno and his wife Petra, a highly skilled chef, accepted the position, making way for a happy blend of Captain, accomplished chef and sleek motor yacht.
Since then, Arno and Petra have fallen in love all over again, but this time with Obsession.

Chef Petra not only has a contagious laugh and engaging personality but her cooking is enticingly delicious. As a professional chef and previous owner of two restaurants in Germany, Petra's talents totally transform Obsession into an intimate and elegant floating villa. Additionally, her experience working on several mega-yachts as chef over her many years in these islands, brings to her skills a wonderful melding of creativity and flexibility.

Stewardess/1st Mate: Liz Godin joined Obsession at the beginning of the 2008-2009 charter season. She came aboard with a very versatile background. She moved to St. Thomas four years ago from Boston, MA and began working as both a school teacher and guidance counselor at one of the local schools. She has found a new way to incorporate her love of children and her love of the sea while working aboard yachts such as Obsession. Originally from Cape Cod, Liz has a strong passion for everything that has to do with the water. She learned much from her father, who is both a captain and an expert fly fisherman. Prior to joining the Obsession, she spent some time working for day charter boats out of St. Thomas as a "U.S. Coast Guard certified" snorkel guide and bartender serving up fabulous frozen cocktails to vacationers and locals alike. She enjoys all things outdoors from hiking to kayaking and most recently her new found love of surfing. She is also certified in scuba diving. Liz is looking forward to learning all of the secrets that Captain Arno and Chef Petra have to bestow upon her!
